Earthquakes and other accommodation

We have been given the right to manage one of the exclusive Bayside Apartments in Sumner. This beautiful two bedroom apartment is on the top floor with stunning views. It is furnished and available for short or long term accommodation. One of the other apartments in this complex is also becoming available for short or long term accommodation. Rates are negotiable depending on length of stay. Please enquire through our website. Sumner Bay Motels have come through all the earthquakes with no damage to the buildings. The motels were built to a very high standard to survive earthquakes and are situated safely away from the hills. Inspite of the media portraying Sumner as a warzone, it is anything but. Most of the properties suffered no more damage than any other parts of Christchurch. There was also no liquerfaction in Sumner. Nearly all the restaurants, cafes, businesses are all up and running wonderfully, with two new restaurants recently opened. It is still nice to enjoy a lovely coffee, meal or go for a nice walk along the promenade. We also have corporate rates available for anyone staying because of work. We are close to Lyttelton, Ferrymead, Bromley, Woolston and Heathcote The roads into Sumner, from the city are open, and there is no transport difficulty. We would welcome any visitors who would like to be accommodated in Sumner. We are also able to help with people who have to move out of their homes temporarily for either earthquake damage, or while their houses are being repaired. We are willing and able to accommodate these people for long periods if needed, and are offering discounted rates for this accommodation.
